Vegan Smoked "Salmon"

About the Recipe

Ingredients

• 4 tbsp light soy sauce

• 1 tbsp white wine vinegar

• 2 tbsp olive oil

• 2 tbsp liquid smoke

• 3 tbsp smoked rapeseed oil (this will make it extremely smokey🤤)

• 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

• 1 tbsp capers water from jar

• 1 tsp lemon juice

• 5 tbsp water

• 2 tbsp beetroot juice (for the pink colour)

• 1 nori sheet (shredded)

• 1 tsp syrup

• Dill

• 5 carrots

Preparation

1. Peel the carrots in thin slices with a peeler.


2. Boil the carrot slices for 5-6 minutes (you want them soft).


3. Add all the ingredients together in a box and add the carrot slices, mix well and put it in the fridge for 1-3 days (the longer the better).


4. Dry the carrot slices on some paper towel and enjoy on a nice warm bagel, drizzle lemon juice, dill and freshly cracked pepper on top, enjoy!
