Vegetable Dumplings


Here's how you can make delicious vegan dumplings.


Dough

3 ½ cups of flour

1 cup water


Filling

  • 1 tablespoon ginger (minced)

  • 1 onion (chopped finely)

  • 3 cups mushrooms (chopped finely)

  • 1 ½ cups white cabbage (finely shredded)

  • 2 medium carrots (finely shredded)

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • Sauce:

  • 3 teaspoons sesame oil

  • 3 tablespoons shaoxing wine

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • ¼ cup of oil

  • A pinch of salt and pepper

Instructions

1. Chop all vegetables

2. Fry them until they are tender about 5-10 minutes (ideally you want to fry ginger and onion first for about 30 seconds before you add the rest)

3. Add the sauce and let the mixture cool down

4. Put together dumpling as shown in the video

5. Fry the dumplings for about 5 minutes (if you want a crispy bottom)

6. Add water to the pan and steam for about 3 minutes
