Best Vegan Croissants In Brighton & Hove | Worst To Best Rated

Updated: Jan 25, 2023

I don't know about you but I am obsessed with croissants, I could eat them all day, every day. So I thought, why not find the best vegan croissant in Brighton (it's really just an excuse to eat them all muhaha).

To make it fair I went to eat the croissants in the morning, just to make sure I ate them while they were still freshly baked.

Let's start with the worst ones, shall we...

Best vegan croissants in brighton and hove top 5

Brodwolf Organic Bakery

1/5 Stars
Price: £2.2

This pains me to say but... the croissant was very dry and burnt. It also looked really odd haha. It's such a shame because I normally go there to get my morning latte and it's one of my favourite cafes in Hove, so I feel bad criticising their pastry. One positive thing to say about this croissant is that the flavour is interesting. It's got a hint of lemon which is actually really good.

The Flour Pot

1/5 Stars
Price: £1.95

Ohhhh boy... I expected The Flour Pot to do well but it sure didn't. The croissant was very dry and underbaked. I mean, how is that even possible? If you look closely, you can see that the dough is still a bit raw in the middle. I actually felt a bit nauseous after eating it. They also add a sugar coating on top of their croissants, which isn't necessary at all if you ask me..

Shop Kindly⭐⭐

2/5 Stars
Price: £1.10

I was really rooting for Shop Kindly to win, since I'm a regular customer and LOVE the shop. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the croissant. It was dry, chewy and had a really odd taste. It was really cheap though, so I'm hoping that I just got the croissant on a bad day.

Small Batch

⭐⭐⭐⭐

4/5 Stars
Price: £2.60

I was actually really impressed with this one. The croissant was crunchy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. It had a good flavour as well, it wasn't too sweet but it was a tad too burnt.

The reason why I haven't given it 5 stars is the price, £2.60 for a croissant is a bit much. All in all, good croissant but too pricey.

Blend & Brew⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

5/5 Stars
Price: £2

Blend & Brew makes amazing croissants. They're crunchy, tasty and is by far the prettiest croissant I've seen so far. It's also really big compared to the other croissants, which is great. I am definitely going back for more!🥐

Real Patisserie

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

5/5 Stars
Price: £1.40

Mhmm the croissant from Real Patissere was good. It was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. It's got a good flavour and it's incredibly flakey. Also, it's so cheap!! I'm really glad that the cafe/bakery is right around the corner from me🤭

The best place to go for a vegan croissant in Brighton & Hove is definitely Blend & Brew and Real Patisserie 👏🏆
